Raised in San Francisco, Dr. Rob Lin graduated with his B.S in Exercise Biology from UC Davis and attained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from NYU in 2011. He holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA which allowed him to work as a personal trainer at Equinox while completing his PT degree. As a former Muay Thai kickboxing fighter, he specialized in treating other martial artists and fighters across New York City and also provided on field coverage for Gotham Rugby NYC in his free time. Most notably he has traveled to the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for sports medicine volunteer rotations to treat team USA Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Rob is constantly improving his professional skills and has taken many continuing education courses including Maitland Spine, Mulligan Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Myofascial Decompression, Hospital for Special Surgery courses, and runners symposiums to name a few. He uses the latest evidence, strong manual techniques, and functional movements to help his patients reach their individual goals whether they are a weekend warrior or professional athlete. Approaching each patient with a positive mental attitude and promoting a healthy lifestyle are essential components in his wellness approach.
He recently returned to the Bay Area to give back to the community he was raised in. In his free time he trains in Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Running, Yoga, and weight training as well as hanging out with his dog.
